Speaker Introduction:
I’m Adam and I grew up in Virginia, moved to the western part of the country after graduate school, and immediately noticed a need for expanded land stewardship and education amongst those who liked to play outdoors. In 2017, I became a Leave No Trace Level 2 Instructor and Wilderness First Responder. Soon after this, me and my wife started Arcadia Guided Outdoor Education, which worked with other local youth-serving non-profits to expand outdoor access to students from all over Northern Utah, while teaching and practicing Leave No Trace ethics, and learning together how to be good neighbors. Now, Arcadia focuses solely on Leave No Trace education, and has trained nearly 400 Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructors and reached hundreds of other folks through Leave No Trace Workshops and community outreach events since its inception.
