Weekend morning cleanups
Our weekend morning cleanups will always be on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Grab as many friends as you can and join us for a clean River.
We host 4 large weekend public cleanups a year:
Earth Day River Cleanup on the Saturday before Earth Day.
Summer Kick Off Cleanup on the third Saturday of June.
World Cleanup Day on the third Saturday of September.
Trash-o-ween Costume Cleanup on the Saturday closest to Halloween.
Walk & Talk Cleanup with Marc Fryt at People’s Park
walk & talk weekday evening cleanups
Walk & Talk weekday evening cleanups are every other Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7pm starting the first week of July and ending in September.
They involve cleaning a section of River while learning about a River related topic from an expert.
Previous speakers and topics include:
Marc Fryt - Fly Fishing on the Spokane River.
Spokane Audubon Society - Birding on the Spokane River.
Rick Eichstaedt - Spokane Riverkeeper origin.
Kara Odegard - Water conservation, sustainability, climate resilience and the Spokane River.
And so much more! Join us in 2026 for more topics and a clean Spokane River.

On-water cleanups
Join us on the water in our boat or with yours this year to get trash out of hard to reach spots. Every other week from the end of June through September. All experience levels welcome. Find additonal details and dates on our events page.
